Work on the series «The mark» began in the spring of 2007 under the working title «The main piece of evidence.» It took about two months to carry out the casting and to create the scenery. In June, the pilot was filmed – the episode «The English Murder», in July — six or seven episodes were ready. And then there appeared the idea of a »special project» that was not four vertical but horizontal episodes, which revealed the history of the occurrence of FES. It took us the whole August to shoot them, so they came out on September, 3. The series comes every week, on the Channel 1, from Monday to Thursday at 7.10 pm.
The project was difficult though interesting: as the main director I spent rehearsal period with the cast, I produced and directed the pilot in a very short period of time, I built the format, and, finally, I forming a group directors, started production.
